Street Food Favorites at SM Hypermarket’s StreetFood Festival

Lately, I’ve been craving street food and I find myself scouring the streets for isaw and kwek-kwek. Unfortunately, our area doesn’t have a lot of street food vendors, which leaves my cravings unsatisfied. :( Most of my day is spent in the office or at the Hypermarket next to the office, and sometimes there aren’t enough street food choices in malls, making me miss the days when I can buy and eat all the street food I want from the vendors across my old schools.

Bacon-wrapped and pica pica? Yes, please!

Luckily, SM Hypermarket brings back its annual Streetfood Festival, which gathers old street food favorites and fresh takes on street food. Together with trusted brands Unilever, Nestle, San Miguel, Alaska, Del Monte, P&G, and CDO, among others, this year’s StreetFood Festival aspires to become the biggest celebration of our culture and our love for Filipino street fare.

Cebu Lechon Belly

Expect not only the usual barbecues and isaws, but also new twists to old favorites, care of the following merchants: Cebu Lechon Belly, Southern Dairy, Banchetto’s Crepes, Takoyaki, and Bacon-wrapped delights. Also, if you haven’t yet, try out the best-selling SM Markets Turon with Langka. This is one of my favorite lunch treats, because it’s so filling for only 15 pesos!

Have I mention there were lots of discounted bundled packs to be offered for sale during the Street Food Festival?

The SM Streetfood Festival is coming to an SM Hypermarket nearest you through various roadshows: SM Valenzuela on September 9, SM Bicutan on September 23, SM Molino on October 14, and the grand finale to cap off the festival at SM Mall of Asia on October 20 featuring celebrity guests to grace the event, and the grand raffle draw. Together with the awesome food are demos from celebrity chef, Chef Boy Logro, and lots of discounted items to boot!  Don’t miss it for the world!-HANA
