real techniques philippines makeup brushes review

I’ve been dying to buy Real Technique brushes on for the longest time now, but it was a tough choice between these famed brushes and some less expensive brushes I’ve also been considering for weeks now! But life is short, so I went ahead and bought the brushes! These were my first brushes from Real Techniques, and by the looks of things, this definitely won’t be my last!

REVIEW: Sushi Meets Burrito at Nori (Kapitolyo, Pasig City)

nori sushi burrito manila kapitolyo

The rise of the Sushirrito in the West has inspired many local restaurants to create their very own version of the famous dish. After all, combining the sushi and the burrito, just two of our favorite dishes ever — no one can possibly mess that up, right?

So after months of being on the receiving end of expertly-targeted Facebook ads as well as various recommendations from blogger friends, I decided one day to give into the craving and drop by Nori for my first ever Sushirrito experience...

A Best Beautiful Collaboration: Olay x Jojie Lloren

free skincare assessment regimen philippines

It was only very recently that I learned about the history behind Olay. It was a product borne out of love from a chemist for her wife, as he persevered to create a moisturizer that would meet the requirements of his wife. Talk about true love! Olay became such a big hit, that it has since then helped many women all over the world look and feel their Best Beautiful self every day. It has also had many milestones as a brand here in the Philippines...

Indulging in comfort food doesn’t have to have to hurt your wallet– that’s what the masterminds behind NY Halal-inspired Over Rice believe, as they bring us Mediterranean dishes made popular by street food carts from NYC. Event: Accenture Fusion Night x Polyglot Nation

You may not have stopped to think about it, but it’s a fact that we Filipinos are a product of our rich cultural diversity. The beauty of our culture lies in the wonderful mix of influences from the many colonies that contributed to our individuality as a nation. Thanks to this, we have grown to be welcoming and accepting of other nations’ cultures, and our natural adaptability have made us quick learners of a second (and sometimes, even a third!) language.

With Denby, Kat, Luke, and Justin...

REVIEW: The Burger Joint (SM Hypermarket, Pasig City)

I work just across SM Hypermarket in Pasig (also known as SM Supercenter Pasig to some), so I already have my go-to places for my ever-changing cravings. When it comes to burgers that’s a little more premium and for when I’m in the mood to celebrate, The Burger Joint is my choice of pig-out venue in the area. It’s not just me — the rest of my food-lovin’ team loves their burgers, too!

Since many of the items on their menu are made from scratch (such as their homemade brioche bun, the TBJ specia...

REVIEW: Brick Burger (Hampton Gardens Arcade, Pasig City)

I’ve always been fascinated with legos. Back when I was young, I used to have a tub full of legos and spent hours building lego creations, like building, vehicles, aircrafts, and whatever I could conjure with my imagination. Legos have since evolved from simple blocks to lego replicas of popular characters, making it even more fun to create lego dioramas! Seeing lego diorama displays at Brick Burger was the first thing that reeled me into new burger joint a few blocks away from my home.

Street Food Favorites at SM Hypermarket’s StreetFood Festival

Lately, I’ve been craving street food and I find myself scouring the streets for isaw and kwek-kwek. Unfortunately, our area doesn’t have a lot of street food vendors, which leaves my cravings unsatisfied. :( Most of my day is spent in the office or at the Hypermarket next to the office, and sometimes there aren’t enough street food choices in malls, making me miss the days when I can buy and eat all the street food I want from the vendors across my old schools.

Bacon-wrapped and pica pica? Yes...

Pantene at the Cosmo Beauty Block

Last week, I headed to SM Megamall’s Fashion Hall to attend the Cosmo Beauty Block. It promised to bring together the newest products from the best brands around, as handpicked by the Cosmo Team. There were also talks and demos scheduled for those interested in learning more about makeup, hairstyling, and even vlogging!

Got this from the BYS Booth!

The best part, however, is the freebies! I scored a lot of free items just by dropping by some booths and completing challenges in others...
