Starbucks Beverages of 2016

I try every new Starbucks beverages at least once, and I have to say that my favorite so far this year is the Summer Berry Panna Cotta, which they took out from their menu TOO SOON! :(  It was introduced with the Roasted Marshmallow S’mores beverage, which we didn’t like as much because of its overwhelmingly sweet flavor. The great thing about Starbucks is that if you don’t like your drink, they will happily fix it or replace it with something else.

To me, the Summer Berry Panna Cotta is absolutely satisfyingly good! It has the right amount of sweetness that keeps you coming back for more, and the summer berry sauce and berry drizzle that complements the flavor of the panna cotta.

Starbucks Philippines’ Chocolate Black Tea with Earl Grey Jelly and Purple Yam Cheesecake

Upon finding out that Starbucks do not offer the Summer Berry Panna Cotta anymore (╥_╥) I found an opportunity to try another new beverage from Starbucks, the Chocolate Black Tea with Earl Grey Jelly Frappucino. According to Starbucks, the black tea is made up of Kenyan Tea leaves and chocolate, with a layer of Earl Grey jelly and sprinkled with chocolate Black tea powder and chocolate java chips. It’s a refreshing drink with the perfect balance of the flavors of tea and chocolate.

I also went ahead and ordered the Purple Yam Cheesecake. It was my first time to encounter an ube cheesecake, infused with the flavor of red mung beans and macapuno. The dessert was a great addition to the menu, especially since they used uniquely Filipino ingredients to create something truly wonderful.

How about you, what’s your favorite Starbucks beverage this year?-HANA
