Get longer, fuller lashes without the hassle of extensions with the VnC 3D Fiber Mascara!

Long, beautiful lashes have a way of making your eyes appear brighter and more expressive. Hence, women have been experimenting with mascaras, falsies, lash serums, and eyelash extensions in recent years to see which works best for them. I myself have been obsessed with finding the secret to longer lashes and have been constantly researching a way to keep eyelashes looking doll-like. I have tried extensions, but the longevity and maintenance of extensions seem to fall short of the kind of expectations and needs that I have. I have also found the best and most natural-looking lashes available here in Manila that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, but also discovered that falsies, in general, are too tedious to apply and take off on a daily basis.

Thus, I have concluded that using mascara is most suited for me. But which one?

The VnC 3D Fiber Mascara. Are perfect lashes within reach with just a few mascara swipes? Find out!

I was already hell-bent on purchasing Kiss Me Heroine Make’s Impact Frame and Curl after seeing its outstanding curling performance during a live demo, but on the same week that I was supposed to buy the product, I got acquainted with VnC’s 3D Fiber Mascara. I had to look it up since the brand is not yet available in department stores and shopping malls as of late. Turns out, the VnC 3D Fiber Mascara is a popular brand and has only recently introduced themselves in the PH market. Its closest competitor is Younique, another 3D Fiber Mascara brand.

3D Mascaras are a new concept for many of us, so let’s cover the basics:

VnC 3D Fiber Collagen Transplanting Gel

How does the 3D Fiber Mascara work?

The VnC 3D Fiber Mascara works by layering and combining two products: the Collagen Transplanting Gel (A) and the Green Tea Natural Fibers (B). Both products are packaged in a mascara tube and applied using a mascara wand, but have very different roles in achieving your desired effect. The Collagen Transplanting Gel is applied first to prime the lashes and act as a “glue”. Afterwards, the application of the Green Tea Natural Fibers on your lashes will cause the fibers to latch on to your lashes and extend them by up to 300%. A second application of the Collagen Transplanting Gel ensures that the fibers are sealed in place. It’s as simple as swiping A – B – A.

Green Tea Natural Fibers

What are the benefits of using this mascara over other mascara products in the market?

Aside from the lash lengthening powers of the VnC 3D Fiber Mascara, it’s also smudge-proof, tear-proof, and clump-free. It also eliminates the need for curling your lashes because it curls them effortlessly!

What is the downside of using this mascara?

One of the disadvantages of using this product is that it is NOT waterproof. However, this can also be an advantage, since you can easily remove your mascara with warm water. When you remove them, the product turns into a rubbery consistency that allows for easy removal.

Another downside is that  applying too much of the Green Tea Natural Fibers can cause fall-out. Applying the same product too close to the roots of the lashes can cause the product to enter the eyes and cause irritation, so make sure to apply thinly and properly.

Applying too much of the Green Tea Natural Fibers (Mascara B) can cause the fibers to fall out. But if done right, you have lashes that reach up to your eyebrows!

How long can you wear the product?

It has been tried-and-tested to survive up to 16 hours after application.

Here’s a final run-down of the pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Proven effective in significantly lengthening and volumizing lashes
  • Can be layered multiple times
  • Smudge-proof, tear-proof, and clump-free
  • Easy to remove
  • Lasts up to 16 hours after application
  • Keep the lashes curled the entire day
  • Looks awesome even with glasses on! 8D
  • As light (or heavy) on the eyes as your regular mascara
  • Can be used when wearing contact lens
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Easy to use
  • Comes in a beautiful casing that will make it easy to transport and keep it protected inside your bag

Applied product on the eyelashes of my right eye to compare with bare lashes on the left. Both eyes lined thinly with Kiss Me Heroine Make’s Impact Liquid Eyeliner

Cons:

  • Water-resistant, but not waterproof
  • Is not recommended for use when planning to get in contact with water (during swimming, bathing, etc)
  • Wrong application can cause fall-outs or cause the product to enter the eye
  • Cannot be applied like regular mascara. Layering the products with an A-B-A method is required in order to achieve the desired effect
  • Can only last up to 80 applications, or two to three months with regular use
  • Is steeply priced at Php 1800 (includes both mascara products packaged inside the sturdy case)
  • Is not yet available in department stores and provincial outlets. The product can only be purchased from the brand’s partner clinics and via placing an order online.

As a final note, I love the VnC 3D Fiber Mascara because it allows me to achieve the same result as that of extensions, without the hassle of the upkeep. Depending on the mood and need, I can choose to apply a single layer, or apply multiple layers to achieve that dolly look. Whether it’s worth the price or not is for you to decide.-HANA
