Review: Aqua Mineral Mud Soap and Aqua Mineral Soap

If you’re a frequent mall-goer, you’ve probably encountered Aqua already. With seventeen locations in Metro Manila and Metro Davao malls, its a brand that’s hard to miss. I discovered the brand six months ago when my mom was approached by one of their SAs during our leisurely stroll at Robinson’s Galleria. It was fortunate that my mom was not the kind to avoid SAs, and we were given a free trial of some of their products. They also gave us discounts that were difficult to resist, leading to the purchase of the Aqua Mineral Professional Nail Kit and an Aqua Mineral Mud Soap and Mineral Soap combo. Despite the number of shops they have opened in the metro, there is little known about the brand. Fortunately, I was given the chance to find out more about the company that brought the brand to the Philippines during their most recent rendezvous with a few bloggers. Here’s what I learned:

The company behind the Aqua Mineral brand, the CosmetiGroup International Corporation, is the first company to bring Dead Sea products from Israel into the Philippines. Dead Sea products are known for their healing and regenerative properties known to cure numerous skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne, among many others. Some people even fly to Israel to enjoy the benefits of swimming in the mud of the Dead Sea!

Aqua Mineral’s wide range of skincare products

There is no denying that some of their products are expensive. Their cheapest item, the Aqua Mineral Mud Soap, is priced at Php 1200 each! However, if you look at it as an investment you make in yourself rather than a luxury item, you would find that it is an investment that’s worth the price. Most of their products last from six months up to one year, and are formulated to target skincare problems that are difficult to address. If you’ve tried almost every product in the market but still has not found your HG skincare product, then this brand might be just what you’re looking for to end your search.

A closer look at the Aqua Mineral Mud Soap

Six months ago, I purchased the Aqua Mineral Mud Soap and Mineral Soap combo from an Aqua Mineral stall in SM Megamall. Before I made the jump, I was using the Physiogel Cleanser, and I was pretty happy with it– it got the job of cleaning my skin done without any breakouts or harsh effects to my skin. However, after using the Aqua Mud Soap and Mineral Soap combo for six months, I can say that I will never use another brand of soap again. At Php 1,200, both soaps have lasted for six months and counting! Not only does it keep my skin clean, it also tightens the pores and skin. The Mineral Mud Soap is used in the mornings, and its counterpart used at night. I personally recommend the soap to everyone who wants to try a skincare upgrade.

The Aqua Mineral Soap

There are other products worth looking into, such as the Aqua Mineral Professional Nail Care Kit. My mom bought it for the nail buffer, which when used properly, makes your nails gleam! Aqua Mineral offers lifetime warranty for the buffer, so if ever it gets worn out, you can have the surfaces replaced at any Aqua Mineral stall.

After having tried their products for myself, I have become a true fan of the brand, and would continue to try out their other products that address more severe skincare problems. I always say that the best investment is the investment you make in yourself. When it comes to your skin, the price of good skincare can never be overemphasized. After all, your skin is a great reflection of how well you take care of yourself.-HANA

Hey Hana , Great Review. The Packaging looks really sophisticated and sleek. How would you describe the scent of the Soap? ..

  • Sim @ SimsLife.co.uk  says:

The products look lovely – never heard of the brand before, I am not sure if it is available in the UK. I am in total agreement that if you look after your skin, your skin will look after you. It does pay to pay slightly more every so often! Sim x

  • Alissa  says:

I’ve never tried anything like this soap before but I bet it works good cos it’s all natural! :) You’re lucky you get to have one

  • Fernando Lachica  says:

You are very much alive with these beauty products and very glad that it gave positive result.

Great review. I don’t think I’ve seen them in Jakarta before :)

  • Elana Khong  says:

This look like a good product. Wish my country have this soon.

    • dollhana  says:

They’re a pretty popular brand. I hope you find them in malls near you :)

  • Joy Felizardo  says:

I’m loving your review, though I don’t think I would spend that much on a soap bar…

    • dollhana  says:

You’d be surprised how much you can save using it, Joy! Saving all the money allocated for facials and skin care clinic visits by using this soap instead. :D

  • Skinny B  says:

I love how you review it. I love to personally call it the splurge bar.. there’s nothing wrong with throwing money for yourself

    • dollhana  says:

Glad you enjoyed the read, Skinny B! ;)

  • lee ros  says:

its really popular now this mineral soap. this is really a good product

    • dollhana  says:

Have you had the chance to try it, too? How was your experience, Lee?

  • Franc Ramon  says:

I think if the product would last 6 months, it would save you a lot. It really is effective as it was able to convert you to go for the aqua mineral mud soap.

  • Louise  says:

This is a great argument. Rather than considering the soap as a luxurious brand, look at it as an investment especially if it’s effective and it lasts long. Just wondering… what kind of skin problems do the soap targets to eliminate besides from pores? :)

    • dollhana  says:

Acne scars, oily skin, among others :D

  • Mia Foo  says:

never heard of this brand before, i dont think it available in my country. sounds like some awesome products but it’s really inconvenient to use bar soap, don’t you think? i really dislike how it grows slimey and mushy after a while…

    • dollhana  says:

Surprisingly, it doesn’t get mushy and slimy, probably because it’s made of mud. :)

  • Kelly Chin  says:

I heard that the Dead Sea Mud is very good for skin and helps to clear the impurities.

    • dollhana  says:

I’ve heard the same, too. Thank god I don’t have to travel all the way to the Dead Sea just to enjoy the benefits of the Dead Sea Mud :)

  • Hina Naz  says:

I am really amused to read the post. Dying hard to try this product as i am big fan of mineral products.

    • dollhana  says:

Hope these products work out well for you as it did for me!

  • Fred  says:

This is a very good testimonial about this product. Especially about how long it lasts and how good it is to your skin. I see them in all the major malls, with very convincing salespeople. But I would rather hear it from a non-invested individual like you. Thanks.

    • dollhana  says:

Thanks, Fred! I really love this product and have been buying more since, since both me and my mom have benefited quite nicely from the effects :)

  • Tiffany Yong W.T. (tiffanyyongwt)  says:

I’ve seen quite a few soap and this is the first time I see mud soap. Is that drying? I have some soap which is said to help acne problems, but it worsened my acne instead.

    • dollhana  says:

It’s a bit drying, but is something you would like if you have super oily skin like me :) It helps tighten the pores, too!

  • Eliz Frank  says:

What a wonderful review. You have definitely sold me on the soap and I will look for it here in the US. Aqua Mineral products are terrific, and there’s a well known company that dominates the market here. It would be nice to try this line of products too. :-)

    • dollhana  says:

You should! It’s expensive at first, but definitely worth the investment :)

  • Janice Min  says:

Mineral Products are always the best :) Lovely post and blog you have :)

    • dollhana  says:

Have you tried other mineral product brands as well? Glad you enjoyed the read :)

  • Emman  says:

Great beauty products. Perfect for gifts. I’ll send this blog to my friend.

    • dollhana  says:

      Thanks for sharing, Emman! :)

  • brenda  says:

Hi just purchased one today. The mud soap. Hope it clears my pimples. My aunt reccommended this one. She used to have acne and this soap worked wonders on her. she’s been using this for 3 years. I hope it works for me too. I bought mine at 600 pesos only because it’s on sale :)

    • dollhana  says:

If you get the chance, make sure to buy the Aqua Mineral Soap as well (the white one). The Aqua Mineral Mud Soap works better when used during the day, and the Mineral soap at night.

  • jin  says:

Hello, i am curious if it can cure dermatitis, hmm :) I am also using physiogel. i am not sure if using the two products at the same time will have bad effects on my skin :D

    • dollhana  says:

Since Physiogel is hypoallergenic and very gentle to the skin, I doubt it would cause any reactions if you’d use the Aqua Mineral soaps simultaneously with it. If you ever do decide to use the soaps with Physiogel, do let me know how it goes! :)

  • Chloe  says:

Hi Hanna, just want to ask if it’s just fine if i will use the aqua mi neral on my face and same with my body, because someone told me that it’s not advisable to use a soap that once being used on your body?kind of confusing..

    • dollhana  says:

Hi Chloe. It’s best to use a different bar of soap for your face and for your body. The skin on our face can be very sensitive, so to be sure, a different bar of soap can help prevent skin irritation and infection. :) Hope this helps!

      • Chloe  says:

Hi hanna. I’m using aqua mud soap and mineral soap both on my face and body. Mud soap in the morning and mineral soap in night on my face and body. I have lot of acne, but i just noticed that instead of decreasing my pimples,it’s increasing rather..I also leave it on my face for 5 minutes. Do you think I should continue using the soap. but It’s a good thing that my face becomes soft and moisturized but my pimples are still on my face and they are increasing..what should i do?thanks

        • dollhana  says:

Hi Chloe. I would suggest that you use a different bar of soap for your face and body. also, how long have you been using the soap? I would give it two weeks and see if it really doesn’t work out for me. Sometimes, in my case, the increase in the number of pimples is not really a bad sign– the soap is just doing its job of bringing out impurities in the form of pimples. Let me know if it works out for you!

          • Chloe  says:

it’s already two weeks. OK i will just continue this till one month. i am also worried about the acne scars..just want to ask if it can also remove the those acne scars..thanks a lot:)looking forward for your reply

        • Shane  says:

Hi. I believe the soap is basically for cleansing and will help you with your acne since it’s going to unclog the pores. I don’t think that the aqua soap alone is enough to minimize your acne though. You need to consult a very good dermatologist and ask for a prescription for your acne. Don’t try the facial treatment services since it’s just going to make your acne worse. I tried all those services and none worked. Believe me, I had mine since I was 9 years old all over my face and just had it completely gone when I was 18. Hope this helps.

  • Shane  says:

Hi. We almost have the same experience, lol. I bought the combo mud soap and mineral soap from the mall as well. I was reluctant at first since the price was php1200 which seemed really expensive for a facial bar soap. I, too, was already happy with my Physiogel but after trying this for half a year, I was surprise with the improvement. I was able to observe it properly since I took a picture of myself (along with a zoomed view of my pores and blackheads) before trying the soap and then religiously updated the photos every month. My pores have sized down a lot! My blackheads which were countless before are now very minimal. My face which is very sensitive to chemicals didn’t have any redness, dryness, or any breakouts. Not even once. I’m close to using it for a year now and the soap is no where near from being gone. It really will last long even if you use it everyday. I’m planning to try their other products soon and hope that it will give me the same wonderful results like the aqua combo soaps.

  • rachele  says:

got MUD SOAP and TONER as well as the NAILS KIT and the SALT SCRUBS and I’m in love.

  • Nadz  says:

i bought the mud soap and the facial cleanser yesterday. i hope it would work on my blemishes. ;))

    • Irish  says:

How much have you paid for the soap?

      • dollhana  says:

Hi Irish! I recently bought two mud soaps and they gave it to me for Php 1800 + 1 freebie soap :) hope this helps!

        • Irish  says:

what’s the freebies given by them?

          • dollhana  says:

It was a generic body soap. It was transparent and red in color :)

          • Irish  says:

have you tried their facial service? Were you given a voucher?

          • dollhana  says:

Nope, they did not give me any vouchers, unfortunately :( have you tried it?

          • Irish  says:

            not yet too :)

        • Luizza  says:

Hi hanna ..which soap is the best? Mud mineral or mineral soap?

          • dollhana  says:

Hi Luizza! Both are really good, because they work together in keeping your skin healthy. If I had to choose though, I would have to pick the Mud soap :) I like how it has helped dry out my pimples. However, you’ll also need the mineral soap to balance the drying effect of the mud soap. Hope this helps!

  • joanne hazel javier banez  says:

Hope this will work for me..hayzt

  • anne rain  says:

I am using their mud soap right now, and i can say that in just 1 wash Ive saw the difference, it tightens my skin and closes the pores. I am planning not to use any soap anymore and i dont want to use gluta or kojic anymore which is ineffective to my skin.

  • Sheng garcia  says:

Can I used the mud soap and toner even if I’m pregnant

  • Irish  says:

    hi hanna,

Just wanna ask, How long did this soap lasted on you? Because contrary to their claim that it will last a year, it only lasted on me for two months?

    • dollhana  says:

Hi Irish. Both soaps normally last 6 mos to a year for me, but the mineral soap lasts longer than the mud soap. Which soap are you referring to?
