Strip: Ministry of Waxing and Browhaus, your one-stop shop brow and lash-grooming salon, opens shop at the fifth floor of SM Fashion Hall, SM Megamall, last September 17, 2014. A Mardi Gras-themed party ensued, and family, friends, and guests from the media were welcomed with music, food, and drinks fit for a festival.
A Singapore-born business that started in 2002 and was brought to Manila by a group of friends in 2008, Strip Manila has become the go-to of both men and women for all their waxing needs. On the other hand, Browhaus has been revolutionizing brow and lash grooming in the country for years. Hand in hand, Strip and Browhaus empower the urban chic with the confidence and style to face the modern world. The opening of Strip at SM Megamall marks their eight branch since they started in the country in 2008. Browhaus, on the other hand, has four other branches in Metro Manila, making the SM Megamall branch their fifth.
The event was hosted by none other than style icon Tessa Prieto-Valdez, who came in her signature avant-garde ensemble. The colorful and vibrant theme of the night matched the festive interiors of the new branch.
A quick survey of the new branch showed that Browhaus and Strip met at the common reception area, and diverged past it, with Browhaus to the left side, and the waxing rooms to the right. Strip had about three to four waxing rooms available, while Browhaus had four to five chairs to accommodate five customers at a time.
The new branch offers the same services and products as the other branches, so there really isn’t anything new to look forward to, other than seeing if the quality is at par with the Strip and Browhaus standards that we are already accustomed to. I am excited for my waxing and brow grooming session happening in the next few weeks, so stay tuned for my review of the newest Strip and Browhaus branch in SM Megamall. -HANA
