If there’s a guilty pleasure I have in life, it’s rice. I try to avoid eating rice as much as I can, and reserve it only for days when there’s a need to celebrate or to get out of a depressive slump. Not the kind to feel depressed with all the good things happening recently, we decided to go grab a bite at Army Navy one afternoon and order a Steak Burrito and a Chipotle Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
The thing with the Steak Burrito was that it was extremely tasty that I could have finished two if I didn’t have any bit of self-control in me. At Php 195, it was worth every peso, and every bite was an invitation to have more. I also love their hot sauce varieties, and how I have the liberty to experiment with them.
The Chipotle Crispy Chicken Sandwich, one of Army Navy’s newest items on their menu, was also a great buy. You just can’t go wrong with crispy chicken combined with onion rings and chipotle sauce. However, it wasn’t as spicy as it ought to be and needed a little more help from hot sauce. It wasn’t as satisfying as the Steak Burrito, but it would easily fill a grumbling tummy.
One of the most enjoyable and affordable milkshakes around, the Ube Milkshake was a sure hit for us. It was like melted ice cream, exactly how milkshakes are supposed to be. It’s a drink you’ll surely come back for at Army Navy.
Expect me to be noming like crazy at Army Navy on a bad (or great) day. The Steak Burrito easily makes it to my comfort food list, and I’ll never tire of eating it (if only it wasn’t rice T_T). Army Navy’s menu features a wide variety of dishes, and given the chance, I would try all the burrito and burger variants. I am keen on trying the Bully Boy Burger (triple quarter-pounder burger, anyone?), as well as their Mango Milkshake. Until next food trip~!-HANA
