Los Angeles-based “stylist to the stars” Chaz Dean brings revolutionary hair care solution, WEN Cleansing Conditioner, to the Philippines! WEN promises to be everything your hair and scalp needs, and more. The Cleansing Conditioner is a 5-in-1 product, taking the place of your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler, and leave-on conditioner. The best part is that it’s highly praised globally, and is even distributed by giant beauty retailer Sephora, among many other trusted retailers.
WEN Cleansing Conditioner comes in two variants: The Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner and Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner. You can also choose from the 60 ml-sachet or the 350 ml-bottle that comes with a dispenser pump.
I was lucky enough to be given the chance to try out both products of the product, and I have been using it for the past two months now. I went for the Sweet Almond Mint first, and found that it was properly packaged and nicely sealed. The dispenser pump is sealed separately, unlike other products that already has the pump in place.
The instructions at the back of the bottle read:
Rinse hair thoroughly. Apply WEN® into your palms and rub together. Use 10-16 pumps for short hair, 16-24 for medium length hair and 24-32 pumps for long hair. If your hair is longer/thicker you may need to increase the amount of pumps.
Initially, I thought I’d be able to make do with five to six pumps, but found that my long hair requires as much as fifteen, or at least ten full pumps. The Cleansing conditioner doesn’t lather because it’s detergent-free. That means that the Cleansing conditioner subjects your hair less to harsh chemicals, such as sodium lauryl sulfate. The list of all-natural ingredients that is infused in the Cleansing Conditioner includes Glycerin to provide and lock in moisture, Chamomile and Rosemary Extract for its soothing properties, Wild Cherry Bark for hair conditioning, and Panthenol to strengthen the scalp and restore your hair’s resilience.
I found the Sweet Almond Mint variant relaxing because of the cooling effect it had on my scalp. My hair was much more manageable when I use it as a leave-on after washing my hair. Also, for those who wants a more efficient solution for their hair woes, I call WEN Cleansing Conditioner the haircare solution for the busy and the lazy, because its 5-in-1 formula allows you to do away with conditioners and other haircare products you’d normally slap on your mane after the usual shampoo rinse. The product does everything.
Upon using the Pomegranate formula, I realized that it was more suited for my hair. I felt that my hair was bouncier and less dry, even with less amount of product used. I liked the juicy aroma of pomegranate better than the sweet smell of Almond Mint. Since I leave the product on one of our bathroom racks, my mom has also been using it on days she runs out of her own shampoo (lol). She loved the product so much that she rushed to the nearest SM Beauty Department Store, only to find out that the product has been sold out. I tried my luck yesterday at the SM Megamall Beauty Department Section (because I’ve consumed the Pomegranate formula), and was unfortunate to not have taken a bottle of any variant home with me.
WEN Cleansing Conditioner is such a hit for both me and my mom, and we’re planning to visit every SM Department Store just to find our miracle worker. Can’t you tell from the picture below how much I am loving my tamed tresses?
I’m hoping that the two other Cleansing Conditioner formula (Lavender and Summer Honey Peach) and other WEN products, such as the Anti-Frizz Styling Creme, and WEN SIXTHIRTEEN® Ultra Nourishing Cleansing Treatment, make it to the Philippine market soon! These products are going to revolutionize hair care for Filipinas, giving us the means to have Hollywood-gorgeous locks without breaking the bank.-HANA
WEN is available at selected SM Department Stores (Beauty Section): SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM Makati, and SM Southmall
