HANA’s Happy List

The last time I was extremely depressed, someone told me, “People would kill to be who you are right now.”

While I don’t really believe that, I think what she wants me to understand is that despite everything that’s happening, if I actually look close enough, I’ll realize that there’s so much to be thankful for. I used to keep a Gratitude Jar wherein I drop a piece of paper containing one thing that I was thankful for for that day. Everyday, I’d write down at least one, and that cultivated the spirit of gratefulness despite days of adversity. I lost that habit, but would love to start now, here on this blog. I’ll do this every Sunday to remind myself that there were so many good things that happened in the past week, and there’s so much more to come. It’s a good practice to start the week on a happy and grateful note.

Most are actually blogging perks, which I’m very grateful for despite the fact that I don’t anymore get to attend as much events as I used to.

HBC Event. Thank you Kumi for inviting me!

Nestle sent me so many of these drumsticks on the day I needed ice cream the most. What are the odds?

Dinner with Althea at Stackers at Eastwood. I got to try their Baked Fried Chicken, and even got to share it with the fambam as well! Thank you for the invite, Althea! Looking forward to try the Penthouse Burger really soon!

New products up for review! Can’t wait to share these with you guys.

Watching The Edge of Tomorrow at Dolby Atmos, Promenade in Greenhills. I loved the movie experience in the Dolby Atmos cinema!

Mister Donut’s new blueberry collection! I love blueberries, so this was one of the things that really perked me up last week :)

Finally, watching The Fault In Our Stars with my best friend, Lynette, and grabbing a drink at Dunkin’ Donuts, scoring a free donut courtesy of the International Donut Day!

I don’t have a picture for one of the things I am grateful for which is finding a reason to not be sad all the time. It’s more like a mission to reinvent myself and be better. :) I think that the only way to get better things out of life is to always strive to be a better person that who you were yesterday. And that’s exactly what I am going to focus on from now on.

This coming week, I have so much to look forward to. Another week doing a job I love, and meeting with my friends, among many others. My life isn’t perfect, and there are still so many things I wish I had, but right now, I’m just happy to be blessed with so much.-HANA

PS: How about you? What are you grateful for this past week? Share it with me in the comments section below!
