Back in college and during my first two years at work, I had the chance to enjoy living in a condominium located right next to a Robinsons mall. Needless to say, I spent so much time at the mall than in the comforts of my condo. The location was so convenient, that even when I just needed one grocery item, I just crossed the street and spent hours window shopping, and only after that did I buy what I needed. The experience only made me set my eyes to live near a mall in the future for all the convenience that it brought.
I don’t get to frequent Robinsons Magnolia a lot, but I’m quite envious of the people residing in Magnolia Residences. They have access to the wide variety of food establishments at Robinsons Magnolia, just a short walking distance away from their condo. This is especially great for busy professionals who do not have time to cook meals for themselves (or like me who do not know how to cook at all). The choices at Robinsons Magnolia ranged from hearty home-cooked meals to gourmet creations. There are also food choices for healthy eaters, too! This goes to show how the choices at Rob Magnolia will cater to any craving or preference.
That was what I learned during the City Picks Food Tour led by the brains behind the Mercato Centrale Group and Our Awesome Planet, RJ Ledesma and Anton Diaz. They showed us around the mall and let us experience for ourselves the foodgasmic experience that one can enjoy at Rob Magnolia, especially if you’re living just a stone’s throw away from the mall.
For the meat-averse, C’Verde by Big Chill proviodes a lot of healthy meat-free options. You might want to give their Bean and Cheese Taquitos a try when you’re in the area. It’s made up of beans and sharp cheddar cheese wrapped in flour tortilla and served with aioli dip. Never has meat-less “lumpia” tasted this good (especially since the aoili dip makes everything better!)
Healthy eaters would also enjoy the rice, pasta, and classic dishes from Zigla! All their dishes comes in 300 calories or less, so if you’re counting calories, you can be assured that these dishes from Zigla are helping you on your way to weight loss. The Tuna and Cheese Sandwich shown above could not be healthier with the high-fiber whole wheat loaf, onions, celery, tuna, and egg pimiento spread. It’s very tasty, too. Whoever said that healthy dishes are bland-tasting doesn’t know where to look for great food.
Eating at Thai restaurants can really burn a hole in your wallet. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Check out Pad Thai and more! at the Food court area of Rob Magnolia and get treated to their Pad Thai Chicken for less! It wasn’t very spicy so if you prefer your Pad Thai spicier, you can ask for a serving of chili powder. Ask for a slice of lime as well to give it that extra sour kick. Of course, there’s more to Pad thai and more! than the national Thai noodle dish. Take a look at their salads, bagoong rice, and other Thai food options when you drop by!
As a kid, my mom would reward me with my favorite Silvanas from House of Silvanas every time I get good grades. That definitely motivated me to study! House of Silvanas has been making these heavenly treats since 1995, so it’s no surprise that they have the best silvanas in town. The classic silvanas are already so good, but offering flavored ones made them extra irresistible. The flavored silvanas come in four varieties: Strawberry, Pandan, Mango and Ube. So far, I tried Pandan, and it had a hint of flavor in it. I look forward to trying out the other flavors soon!
Villa del Conte and their artisanal chocolates trace its roots back in an 81-year old heritage of making fine chocolates in Padova, Italy. The Praline Balls in Dark Chocolate with Hazelnut Cream Filling were my favorite. Villa del Conte’s chocolates would make a great gift to anyone who loves chocolates especially with the neat packaging in an enticing gift box. If you’re up for something different, take a bite of Villa del Conte’s Praline Sticks in Milk Chocolate with Watermelon Cream Filling.
That’s it for the featured food stalls and kiosk at Rob Magnolia! Did you find anything you’d like to give a try?
On the next blog post, I’ll be writing about The Clubhouse, Gaucho, and The Magnolia Ice Cream Flavor House. Stay tuned!-HANA
