Paradizoo at Zoomanity Park, Tagaytay

I was luckily invited to review a popular attraction over at Tagaytay. Surprisingly, it was a Zoo / Theme Park. I was at stake in saying no, but as I saw couple of review about the theme park, I got curious and said yes! (Thanks to Hana). I am thrilled over the reviews of some bloggers who have been to Paradizoo Park...

Charing’s Halo-Halo Special (Mutya ng Pasig Wet Market, Pasig City)

For this week’s thrifty treat, I made an accidental discovery. I saw a friend’s update on my newsfeed (Hi Sir Richard!) showing off his pair of coolers that is the summer favorite, halo-halo. At first, it didn’t interest me, until I heard that 1) it’s only available in Pasig 2) people actually line up for their famous halo-halo. It piqued my curiosity. Why is Charing’s Special Halo-halo so popular?

Wham Burgers: A Bite Of 100% Filipino Gourmet Burgers

Who hasn’t heard of Wham Burgers? Since becoming an instant hit back in 2000 with their huge and succulent beef patties cooked with a smoky flavor that you can only achieve when char-grilled, Wham has become the go-to for great burgers. And up to now, many are still surprised to know that the monster-burger brand is 100% Filipino-made.

Review: Fun-Filled Spartying at Blossom Floral Spa, Maginhawa, Quezon City

It’s only my third time at Maginhawa, and this time, the reason for my visit is not a food establishment. It is, surprisingly, to check out this new place of retreat called Blossom Floral Spa in Maginhawa, Quezon City. I think it’s slowly becoming an addiction for me to indulge in spa treatments and be pampered from head to foot, so this gave me a really good reason to drop by Maginhawa once again.

Since its opening in No...

TV Guesting for GNN’s The SME Forum: A Talk on Shifting Niches

Two weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to appear on live national TV and be interviewed about shifting careers. It was my first time to appear on TV, so I was thrilled and nervous at the same time. I saw it as an opportunity to tell my story and to motivate and encourage other people to take up the careers that they really love. Of course, this is easier said than done, especially with the pressure and needs of one’s family considered...

Banzai: The Great Authentic Japanese Buffet Restaurant (Mall of Asia, Pasay City)

I won’t try to hide the fact that I was beyond ecstatic to dine in Banzai: The Great Authentic Japanese Buffet Restaurant. I’ve always loved Japanese food, so knowing that an all-authentic Japanese buffet restaurant opened up in Manila is a big deal for me, and getting to explore and eat all the Japanese food I can get my hands on makes me a happy little girl.

Review: House of Senses Spa (C. Raymundo, Pasig City)

I’m always on the lookout for good spa places in Pasig. I definitely think we have a shortage of those over at our side of Pasig (which is the Pasig town proper). So when I found out that a new spa is opening at C. Raymundo, just a ten-minute ride away from home, I had to go try it out for myself.

Review: Overnight Summer Treat at Best Western Plus Antel Hotel

There is no helping the sweltering heat in the Philippines as we have finally entered the summer season. There is even a joke we love telling our foreigner friends, that the Philippines only has two seasons: hot and hotter. I don’t know about you guys, but on days that the summer heat is unbearable, I look forward to having a summer staycation, just lounging and taking a dip in a refreshing pool...

Review: Premium Spa Experience at Toccare Spa, Best Western Plus Antel Hotel (Makati City)

Review: Premium Spa Experience at Toccare Spa, Best Western Plus Antel Hotel (Makati City)

As we explored the amenities of the three towers of the Best Western Plus Antel Hotel in Makati, we came across Toccare Spa at the fourth level of the Antel Spa Suites. With the promise of a relaxing time, it drew us in like bees to a honey. In Italian, the word toccare means “touch” (thank you, Ira!) And with that, the Toccare Spa in Makati aims to be your destination sanctuary at the heart of one of the...
