Rebecca Black Releases Follow-Up Single, “Saturday”

Fifteen year old Rebecca Black, more infamously known for her single “Friday” which she released in 2011, has finally released a sequel titled, “Saturday.” The song’s official music video was uploaded last December 7, 2013 on Youtube and has garnered 3.2 Million hits as of writing.

The comments show a mix bag of reactions to the video. Some still claims that Rebecca Black is still “the joke of the music industry,” while others have developed an appreciation for this new single, noticing how she has “grown as an artist.” The lyrics are not as nonsensical as the first song either, and she didn’t sound as autotuned.

Here’s the lyrics of Rebecca Black’s newest single, “Saturday”:

[Verse 1: Rebecca Black]
2 PM, getting out of my bed
Trying to get Friday out of my head
It’s all so hazy
Got a little too crazy
You know I’d do it all again

[Bridge 1: Rebecca Black]
Call everyone you know
Turn up the radio
Cause this is our song
We can do no wrong
Are you ready, are you ready to go?

[Hook: Rebecca Black]
This Saturday we’re gonna party all night
One we will remember the rest of our lives
This Saturday we’re gonna do it bigger than we ever have before
I don’t want this Saturday to end
I don’t want this Saturday to end
I don’t want this Saturday to end

Dave Days: Hello?
Rebecca Black: Hey, come over
Dave Days: Alright, alright, I’ll be right over. I just gotta find my pants

[Verse 2: Dave Days]
Rolling up, I’m on the scene
Want you here right next to me
Yeah, cause this is our night
Ain’t got no deadlines
There’s nowhere else I’d rather be

[Bridge 1]

[Bridge 2: Rebecca Black]
Yesterday was Friday, today is Saturday
We’re gonna live like there’s no tomorrow
Wouldn’t have it any other way
