Philippine School of Culinary Arts (PSCA)

What sets PSCA apart from other culinary schools:The professional culinary course is a ladderized course, there are 4 ladders embedded in the full 2-year Diploma in Culinary Arts, each ladder earns a certificate in culinary arts; as follows:
First ladder: consists of the following modules; Professional Chef, Culinary Math, Sanitation and Food Safety, Product Knowledge. Culinary French. These are introductory non-kitchen modules and takes 8 weeks. These are then followed by 2 cooking modules: Culinary Basics for 6 weeks and and cooking Methods for another 6 weeks. Kitchen lessons for these modules are conducted daily. Completion of these modules and at least 200 hours of OJT earns Certificate in Basic culinary Arts. Fee for this is PhP170,000.00
Second Ladder takes up the same modules as the first ladder PLUS 4 modules, Food and beverage Service for 3 weeks and Baking Fundamentals for 6 weeks. Human relations in Food service and communications for Food service Taking the first ladder plus these 3 modules and at least 300 hours of OJT will earn Certificate in Intermediate culinary arts
and the fee for this is 235,000 (170,000 +65,000).
Third ladder earns a Certificate in Advance Culinary Arts, takes up the modules for ladders 1 and 2 plus Garde manger 1 (Cold Dishes) and International Cuisine 1. The fee for the 1 year program is PhP 315,000.00 (170,000+65,000 + 80,000). OJT hours at least 600 hours.
For the second year,Fourth Ladder; the enrollment fee is 30,000 and monthly payment of 30,000 for 8 months. The modules taken up during the second year are: Food preservation for Culinary Arts, Food Science for Culinary Arts, Nutrition for Food Service, Breakfast Cuisine, Spa and Wellness cuisine, Garde Manger 2, International Cuisine 2, Dish and menu Development, Commissary Cooking, Catering, Entrepreneurship. Accounting , Food Culture and History, Project Study. The total fee for the 2nd year is PhP 270,000.00.

For short courses, PSCA offers Culinary Fundamental and Baking Fundamentals. Both consists of 20 Saturday sessions, with six hours per session. The short course program costs Php 95,000.
