Review: Nail and Foot Pampering at Elite Nails Spa, Pasig

I’ve been in the lookout recently for quality nail spas in Pasig, specifically within Kapasigan, or the area near the Pasig City Hall. For some reason, there’s a shortage of coffee shops, quality restaurants and spas in that area. The search becomes more difficult with my stringent criteria of nail spas ONLY, specializing in nail care, and not just an addon to the usual parlor services.

Elite Nails Spa has been around bagging awards left and right since 2010, that I wonder myself why I haven’t tried it before. I paid a visit to their main branch here in Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue, which happens to also be their main branch. It’s a jeepney ride away from my home, so this could very well be my next go-to place for nail care in the future.

I went with my mom without calling for a reservation on a busy Tuesday evening. Though it was a little dark in the area, it was easy to spot, since Elite Nails Spa did not skimp on the signage.  Upon entering, an attendant quickly welcomed us and ushered us to the comfortable lazy boy chairs. She handed us the list of services and offered all the assistance that we needed.

My mom and I both came for a pedicure, and we were happy to know that their pedi + foot spa service was only Php 200! That’s really cheap, considering that most nails spas offer the same service for no less than Php 350. The attendant also mentioned that their default polish brand for the service was BK. Eep. Not a big fan of generic brands for nail polish, so I asked if they had other nail polish brands. Fortunately, they do carry my favorite brand, Misa, as well as other popular brands such as China Glaze, OPI, and Orly, among others. The catch is you have to pay additional for these high end nail polish brands. It was an additional Php 40 for Misa and Orly, and Php 50 for OPI. I would be happy to, if it means my pedicure would last longer!

After Mom and I finished choosing our Misa polish, we got settled on our seats. One of the attendants typed in the wifi password on my phone, and I was instantly connected. There were also plenty of outlets for me, since you’re already aware that my phone needs to be plugged to a source of electricity 8/10 of the time.

The place looked crowded and busy. Elite Nails was booked for the night, but our foot spa specialists attended to us in less than five minutes. While I was busy with my phone, mom watched the news on their TV to keep herself busy.

A foot soak prior to the foot spa

The foot spa therapist brought out wooden buckets half-filled with warm water for a foot soak. It helped relaxed my tired feet after walking and commuting all day. After five minutes into the soak, the foot spa therapist started working on my feet, massaging and scrubbing in moderation. My feet are very sensitive and easily tickled, but I was able to stay put until she was done. She was very gentle, and the lotion she used smelled like lavender, which helped heighten the relaxing feeling provided by the massage.

The foot spa therapist toiled over my foot for some twenty minutes, before she was replaced by a nail spa therapist. I really liked that they had a separate therapist to do the foot spa and the nail spa. And the nail cleaning did not hurt one bit! The nail spa therapist was so gentle in pulling out persistent hang nails and in growns. In no time, she was done with my nails!

Toenails fabulously groomed

Here are some things I liked about Elite Nails:

  • Great service. Good job on the nail cleaning, but mom comments not as thorough on the foot spa compared to others. I enjoyed the foot spa though. The staff were also very accommodating.
  • Affordable! At Php 200 for the foot spa + pedicure combo, it’s quality service that will give you value for money
  • Wifi + Outlets
  • They had curtains to provide you privacy
  • They also offer body massage at their spa next door.
  • Lastly, they offer home service nail and body pampering, should you have no time to drop by one of their branches.

Immaculate nails c/o Elite Nails Spa <3

And here are some of the other things they can improve on:

  • There was unnecessary chatter between the attendants while they were working on our feet. At some point, they stopped to watch the news. I don’t think that will ever be acceptable :))
  • The place looked tight and crowded. It is understandably crowded because the place was booked, but I think that there were idle attendants just watching TV that made the place look more crowded than it should be.
  • They might want to consider offering Spa Ritual nail polish, which is safe for pregnant women. Preggy moms need pampering too! :)

Pampering slash bonding session with Mama

Will I come back? Definitely. I’m very happy with the service I got for Php 240. Plus, it’s a jeepney ride away from my place, the nearest nail spa place I could find. There are other Elite Nail Spa branches you can visit, though. Here are their branches:
