Coffee Origins at The Gallery, Greenbelt 5, Ayala; Coffee Seminars Scheduled this October

Coffee Origins held last October 10, 2013 at Greenbelt 5 Gallery, Ayala Makati

Last October 10, the annual coffee festival Coffee Origins, organized by the Philippine Coffee Board was held in Greenbelt 5 Gallery, Ayala Center, Makati City. It brought together coffee enthusiasts and coffee movers, enjoying a fun-filled night with overflowing free coffee of different rarities all over the country.

The aim of the celebration this year was to create awareness about the shortage of coffee in the country. Despite the great demand for coffee, our local coffee farmers can’t keep up with the demand, which is why the big coffee industry players do not have much choice but to import coffee from Vietnam. Imported coffee is, of course, much more expensive than homegrown coffee. It is important that investors see the great demand for coffee and why it is profitable to invest in the local coffee industry, despite the 3-4 years wait for a return of investment.
