Review: Celeteque Advanced Anti-Wrinkle Ultra-Hydrating Cleanser

After reading about the Celeteque Advanced Anti-aging Trio from The Beauty Addict, I decided to pay a visit to Watsons and check out the new line of Celeteque, which is the Celeteque Advanced Anti-Aging Trio. When I picked up the Celeteque Advanced Anti-Wrinkle Ultra-Hydrating Cleanser Light Cleansing Oil from the shelf, my mom said, “Why are you buying an anti-aging product? I think, anak, you’re too young for that.” Well, we’re about to find out.

A short introduction before I continue with my review. I’m Han, a twenty-years old turning twenty-one this July. I am a nurse-midwife by profession, hence all the stress, and the unhealthy habits (less than eight glasses of water a day, inadequate amount of sleep, and the list goes on..) My skin type is combination-oily, acne-prone much as well. My normal skin care routine consists of my Teranex soap, then Benzoyl Peroxide for pimples, Tretinoin and Glycolic Cream afterwards. I have pretty bad skin (I believe). I’m a child at heart who never wants to grow old, but this is my first time to use an anti-aging product.

So, on to my review~

Packaging: The packaging is nice really appealing aesthetically. I love the colors used, and the gold themes used in the box and the bottle.

I like the transparent bottle very much, because it gives you a sense of security that whatever the is inside the bottle is clean. To get a small amount of the cleanser, you just have to squeeze the bottle gently, and pour on a piece of cotton or on clean fingers.
Ease of Application

I believe that there are two ways to enjoy the benefits of this product:
1) Massage on face and neck, and rinse off with warm water after. Make sure that all of the cleanser is rinsed off.
2) Apply a small amount using a cotton ball, and keep on overnight. Wash off in the morning.

As for me, I decided to apply the cleanser using a cotton ball and spread the cleanser all over my face. It’s less messy that way.
The Claims:

To summarize: Celeteque Advanced Anti Wrinkle Ultra Hydrating Cleanser has two main qualities: an anti-aging cleanser, and a cleansing moisturizer. The anti-aging quality of this product would help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation as well as help improve tissue regeneration. It’s cleansing moisturizing property promises removal of deep-seated dirt without the harshness to the skin.

The Feel:
This cleanser feels good on my face. Yes, definitely greasy, that’s why it must be used at night time, but once you rinse it off, you know that your skin has retained the moisture that it needs. The cleanser smells like baby oil, which is gentle to the nose.

What I love most about the Celeteque Advanced Light Cleansing Oil is that it works great as a makeup remover. Yes! I use it for that purpose. I’m currently using Revlon Color Stay Foundation, and if you’re not familiar with it, it has great staying power and last for about eight hours (but claims it can stay on upto sixteen hours). When you have Revlon ColorStay on, and you try to rinse it off at the end of the day (without the help of a makeup remover), you’ll see that it’s really difficult to remove. I have to thoroughly wash my face twice to three times just to get it off. But with the Celeteque Advanced Light Cleasing Oil, it’s removed almost immediately!

That’s my Revlon Colorstay on the cotton over there, and not on my face anymore, thanks to the
Celeteque Advanced Anti Wrinkle Ultra Hydrating Cleanser
The most important question to ask: Will I repurchase? Definitely. It serves my purpose, and adds so much more bonus, such as the anti-aging properties, and moisturizing properties.
My face can now breathe from all that makeup, thanks to Celeteque Advanced Light Cleansing Oil!
And so I’m off to sleep!
PS: I saw my mom sneaking into my room to take my bottle of Celeteque Advanced Light Cleansing Oil haha! She likes it too :)
